Potty Time!
I have to share this with all of you and well you might not be as excited as I am but my Page went potty in her new potty. She has been trying to do what her sister does for weeks now. Today I bought a seat so they could both go at the same time with out a fight. Tonight before their bath I put her on the seat, she was on and off then she went over and sat by herself and went. Way to go Page!!!! Will now see how this goes but looks like I'm potty training two now. By the way Elsie got new underwear as you can see in the picture. I can't tell who was more excited about them. Page went around most of the day with two pairs on over her shorts and diaper. Fun stuff at our house, thanks for letting me share.

Last of our summer fun!

It's that time of year again... Last days at the park, one last swim with good friends. I was really looking forward to school starting but I must say now I'm a little sad. I did not think about the fact that we would not get to play with our friends every day anymore. I will miss just hanging out while our kids played. I thank you all for a wonderful summer.

At it again!

Hello, I'm at once again cooking up new things. So this might not be the prettiest picture but it tastes good. Today, I cook a beef roast in the crock pot . I went to do what I normally do but I was out of beef broth. In a crunch I was thinking on what do, here is the good part. I was drinking my Dr. Pepper and thought I wonder what it would be like with my favorite drink. Let me just say it came out good.
1-Beef roast
3-cloves of garlic (diced)
Half of a onion (sliced)
A splash of soy sauce
one can of Dr. Pepper
Salt and pepper

I put this all in the crock pot and cooked it all day on low. I do all this to my roast most of the time. But put beef broth in normally. Enjoy!

If you like.....

If you like Zucchini bread then you will love this. I found a recipe using crushed pineapple. As most of you know I make Zucchini bread all the time for my dear friend Jo. I got to thinking I would look if I could find a different one to try. I made this for my family and took her a few slices. Later she called and said it was the best I have ever made. I guess I'll be adding Pineapple for now on. Sorry, no picture. If you want to try this let me know and I'll post the recipe.

Hamburger Tater Tot Casserole!

This recipe I got from my Aunt Kelly. It's one of my favorites! It's so easy I hope you enjoy!

You need:
1 lb. Hamburger
Half an Onion diced
1 bag frozen Broccoli (I use fresh if I have it)
1or 2 tomatoes diced
1 bag Tater Tot's
Large can of cream of mushroom soup
2 cups of cheese
1/3 cup milk ( I just put a little to make it soupier ) If you use frozen veggies you want to put less milk in. On this I don't really measure it I just put it in.

Brown and cook hamburger and onions. Put Tater Tot's in a 9 by 13 pan and cook in 350 oven till golden. Mix veggies, Hamburger , soup, milk and some of your cheese. Put it all over you Tater Tot's and add more cheese on top. Bake 350 for about an hour. The last few minutes I add french fried onion to the top.
I hope this made sense, if not let me know. Also play with it you can add anything really, I add zucchini, carrot's and any veggies I have on hand. Sometimes I add garlic and parsley or dried basil. My husband said tonight he would like it better with fresh tomatoes on at the end not cooked. I like it the next day for lunch.

Fall Potatoes!

I came up with this one the other night. It was good and my kids had no idea what was in these.

3 to 5 red potatoes thin sliced ( depends on how big and how many you want)
At bit of sliced Onion (also how much you like)
1 tomato thin sliced
1 peach thin sliced
1 apple thin sliced
dried herbs

I put some olive oil in frying pan, added potatoes, onions salt and pepper browned a little. Cook those for a few with the lid on to help steam them. Then I added a mix of herbs called (Herbs d' Provence) It's Marjoram, savory, thyme, rosemary, basil, fennel, sage and lavender. The amount add was just a lite covering. You could use Italian seasoning or just basil. Then add your apples and tomatoes. Last I added the peaches, just enough to brown them and warm them. I had the lid on and off during the cooking.
My husband loved this, I think we had pork chops with this.

My little girl!

I have to share with you our good news! Most of you have seen Elsie's mouth, the redness, dryness. It has been a year and a half of every cream you can think of and medicines. We have been to her doctor many times and then to a dermatologist a few times and no one has been able to fix this. Last weekend we ran into Brenton's uncle who ask about her mouth like most people do. We told him about it and he said you should go to Dr. Bezzant. He will take one look at her and tell you what it is. Well I call got her in and this is why I'm writing this. At this point it is all cleared up! We have stuff to put on for 1 month and than we go back to see the dermatologist again to see how it went. With in 3 times of using the new creams it was going away. I'm so happy! She is so beautiful, I think so how ever she looks but now she is not in any pain or itching. I'm grateful to this doctor who has help us. It is so nice to have a name for the problem and know how to fix it. If you ever need a dermatologist let me tell you, give him a try!
