Christmas in our corner!

Yes, you guessed I have put up all the Christmas stuff before Thanksgiving. I don't know why this year I was so excited about putting up the tree. Perhaps it's because this year I was not pregnant or have a little baby that needs me every second. So Monday night I took on the challenge of putting up the big tree. I do have to tell you it's work and I still have some light's that are not working but you can't tell and I gave up trying. My girls like to redecorate the tree every day more then once. I will be happy to post pictures when my dearest fixes the computer. Happy Holidays and happy decorating!

Our ladies!

Sorry, it's been so long for me to write. It's really hard to think of what to say. This might be boring for some of you but those who love these ladies as much as I do will enjoy. I've been thinking a lot about our Atrium ladies lately. I can not tell you how these cute little old grandmas have touched my life as well as my family. Our lives will never be the same and I will always treasure the time I have spent serving them. You can never have too many grandmas, right? I've thought about some of them like good old Ray.... Well what can I say about her, she kept us on our toes. But inside was a sweet lady who want to be loved. What about Daphne...remember MJ singing to her with all the ladies? Or Lena so sweet and quite. Marilyn.... all the kids just loved her so much. How about Janice K., who I found out has a funny side to her. Pearl who always looks her best. Shirley, Madge, Ellen and Jo. I have loved the luncheon and when we had our meetings over there. But I think Christmas caroling in one of my favorite thing to do. The Joy it brings to them, the hugs they get from all the children. These woman are great examples, they have lived full lives and have all been in our shoes. I know one day will move from here but I will remember them and hope to still visit them. If you have a chance to met someones grandma say hi or give a hug you will met a friend you will never forget.

Potty Time!
I have to share this with all of you and well you might not be as excited as I am but my Page went potty in her new potty. She has been trying to do what her sister does for weeks now. Today I bought a seat so they could both go at the same time with out a fight. Tonight before their bath I put her on the seat, she was on and off then she went over and sat by herself and went. Way to go Page!!!! Will now see how this goes but looks like I'm potty training two now. By the way Elsie got new underwear as you can see in the picture. I can't tell who was more excited about them. Page went around most of the day with two pairs on over her shorts and diaper. Fun stuff at our house, thanks for letting me share.

Last of our summer fun!

It's that time of year again... Last days at the park, one last swim with good friends. I was really looking forward to school starting but I must say now I'm a little sad. I did not think about the fact that we would not get to play with our friends every day anymore. I will miss just hanging out while our kids played. I thank you all for a wonderful summer.

At it again!

Hello, I'm at once again cooking up new things. So this might not be the prettiest picture but it tastes good. Today, I cook a beef roast in the crock pot . I went to do what I normally do but I was out of beef broth. In a crunch I was thinking on what do, here is the good part. I was drinking my Dr. Pepper and thought I wonder what it would be like with my favorite drink. Let me just say it came out good.
1-Beef roast
3-cloves of garlic (diced)
Half of a onion (sliced)
A splash of soy sauce
one can of Dr. Pepper
Salt and pepper

I put this all in the crock pot and cooked it all day on low. I do all this to my roast most of the time. But put beef broth in normally. Enjoy!

If you like.....

If you like Zucchini bread then you will love this. I found a recipe using crushed pineapple. As most of you know I make Zucchini bread all the time for my dear friend Jo. I got to thinking I would look if I could find a different one to try. I made this for my family and took her a few slices. Later she called and said it was the best I have ever made. I guess I'll be adding Pineapple for now on. Sorry, no picture. If you want to try this let me know and I'll post the recipe.
